Aftertaste / On the Plate
(award of the expert jury, Rooms 2025)
As part of the exhibition Rooms 2025, I participated in the collective installation Aftertaste / On the Plate, which won the award of the expert jury (Roman Štětina, Noemi Purkrábková, Tereza Jindrová).
The project explores power through everyday human experience and its “aftertaste” — a lingering aftertaste that is prescribed in personal and social relationships. The central element of the installation is the shared dining table as a space of closeness, dialogue and confrontation.

The installation was conceived as a participatory environment that actively involves the viewer in the process of creating meaning. Visitors were invited to enter into the ritual of sharing — to symbolically name their “portion” of power, record it on a plate and further transform it through subsequent interaction (exchange, destruction or archiving). The project also included an online gallery connecting individual contributions into a collective visual map of experience.
The jury praised the project for its intuitive work with symbolism and clarity of expression, as well as its thoughtful approach to participation, which allows for open interpretation across diverse audience groups. The installation was highlighted for its ability to combine conceptual depth with accessible form to create a powerfully resonant viewing experience.
